Open Houses: It's Showtime in Cary!Whether or not to allow a public open house on your listed home is a question that many sellers struggle with. Are open houses a waste of time? Will anyone actually visit? Do virtual tours eliminate the need for open houses? Do the inconveniences outweigh the advantages? Or should you just market your house virtually online? What open house strategies actually work? I am a firm believer that open houses really do work if handled properly. In fact, our team believes so strongly in them that we have instituted a program called Realtor On Call for our office in Cary, IL. On weekends between 1 pm and 4 pm, we are on call so that if a showing is requested, one of us can be there within 10 minutes or so. We realize that this might not work for Realtor or real estate office, but as Cary, IL is a small, tight-knit community, it works perfectly for us.
